So I'm thinking about cancelling the game this weekend. Neither [livejournal.com profile] foi_nefaste nor [livejournal.com profile] em_fish can make it, so I was wondering how other people felt...?

It's just not as much fun whe we're down to half.

Not much else to say. It's been a pretty productive couple of days editing and packing. Plus I've been getting more hours at work. Yet again we had clear evidence that English teachers can't add, or even copy information from one sheet to another -- three teachers had to revise all of their attendance for the last two months.

I have been reading some very good books. I'm quite amused that this book of the queer history of Montreal (Sortir de l'Ombre)was funded by both the federal and provincial government. And I strongly recommend the graphic novel Fun House by Alison Bechdel -- it's brilliant.

Ariadne was 16, having just had her birthday on Highharvesttide when we quit playing. At the point at which the DM had the game set, that -- totally by accident -- had her born in Year One, right after the debacle that started the wild magic mess in the first place. O.O

The school in Cormyr was very anxious to have her gone, and since then she's gotten better at everything BUT magic. Hogarth has had his share of triumphs too (DM the oplayed him), such as the time he, in a blind panic, pecked a carrion crawler to death one hit point at a time. ^^;

DM also requested backstory for everybody so he could torture us with it, and thus Ariadne wound up the seventh child of a seventh son of a seventh son, which makes things worse. ^^;; Her older brothers are all paladins and tanks, except for Aethelred, a ranger who spends a suspicious amount of time with elves. XD I think he was pointing at her parents being Harpers when we quit, but Ariadne knows diddly about that and didn't catch on.

The trip to Amn was interesting too. Ariadne has an INT of 20 or so, but almost zero common sense. I had party members diving to stifle her every time she wanted to be magically helpful.
