That's me -- the social butterfly. Yep...

I spent part of the day at Divers/Cité Community Day, helping very slightly with the NDP booth. Most of the reaction was positive, except for one elderly man from EGALE (the main queer lobby group) who was convinced the NDP was going to bankrupt him with taxes.

We also (strangely) got bad press in Fugues, which rated the party's work on same-sex marriage below the Bloc Québécois. Considering that 7 of them voted against the bill, and that they formed an alliance with the far-right wackos to bring the government down before the bill could pass, I think Fugues deserves a lot of angry letters.

This evening was Steve's birthday. So we gathered at my place (we being me, [livejournal.com profile] melting_penguin, [livejournal.com profile] em_fish, Matt R, and Sarah), then went over to Matt's for pizza, nachos and board games. Pleasant, quiet, laid-back party. I had a good time.

And speaking of sociability, [livejournal.com profile] foi_nefaste, [livejournal.com profile] jenjoou, what are you two doing for Lughnassadh?

I don't have any plans yet. Did you have something in mind?

Matt and I were most definitely considering something. It's been ages since I've participated in a rit, and I'm tired of being a Beltaine-and-Samhain Wiccan ;)

I know what you mean... I was just going to sit at home and do something small. But a real rit with other people sounds kind of nice.
