So I've been working a lot more on my writing. This is something I've been meaning to do all summer, but I couldn't get past my school-induced writer's block until just yesterday (I've only been averaging 1-3 pages a day of fiction since January).

I want to submit four pieces this time to the CBC short story competition, if I can manage it. I currently have two in the works, which I'm working on at the same time as a piece of poetry, and, of course, my novel.

I'm also dabbling in poetry -- something I've never really done before. Not sure how it's going to work out, but what I have now is not bad for an early effort.

For all the awful writing I've read in my courses, it has had this fringe benefit: it's made me realize that worse writers than I am are frequently published.

Some of them get government grants.

How about I go rent Gravi at sci-fi? At worst, I can bring my fansub copy and watch it on her computer ^_^

8ish it is. It'll give me a chance to go to the bank (money! yay!) and pick up my manga. I'll think of something to do for the rest of the time. :)
