Jun. 10th, 2008 11:07 amSunday was an odd day. I turned on my computer, and smoke started pouring out the back, from the area of the power source. I unplugged it an it stopped. This is the first computer I ever had catch fire on me.
Fortunately, I bought my first laptop the week before, and the novel was backed up on to it. Still, though, one of the benefits of having two computers was the sense of safety in knowing I had a backup in case of an emergency.
I finished Anansi Boys -- I'll have a review of it another week. Yesterday, I tried to teach myself how to use the sewing machine, and so far that's been disastrous.
Without access to video games, I'm getting a lot more done. But it's making me want to play that medieval Knighthood game even more. Problem is, in order to get started on it in under a year, you need to invite people in, and I'm a bit shy about asking people to load on new applications, because there are so goddamn many of those things and it seems rude to just send an invite out of the blue without asking first.
Anybody here on Facebook willing to be my vassal?
