Yesterday was my step-grandmother's funeral. I wasn't able to be there, of course, because it was the other side of the country.

I'll probably put together some small ceremony of my own this week, to commemorate her life.

We couldn't make it either, as we had only 24 hours' notice and Jen was working. Maybe we can all do some kind of ceremony together at Christmas - I know that would mean a lot to Jen.
