(no subject)

I haven't been on LJ much, and even less on Facebook -- too busy. I'm not up-to-date on my friends' page, so I apologize if I've missed anything vital. I worked eight of the last nine days, did all my Montreal shopping after work, helped get the house ready for the party today, and packed for my trip.

Somewhere in there, I found time to get sick, and play Shadow Hearts: Covenant, as well as work on my secondary novel while I give my primary a week before I start looking at it again.

The party today was wonderful, and full of great gifts -- books from montrealais (including Beedle the Bard) and a tiffany lamp from em_fish. I love tiffany lamps -- you can't go wrong with wrought metal and stained glass. We had everything from homemade cookies to fancy cheeses to an opéra.

Tomorrow -- very early -- I fly out to Victoria, to spend two weeks on the wet coast.

So yeah -- I'll leave you with the world's greatest computer mouse, steampunk style. Not that I'm complaining, but why are the traditional symbols of Athena and Ceres being used for the left- and right-mouse buttons?

Ooooh -- there's even a neo-Victorian monitor and keyboard.

Fun story for you:

When I got home I had a message from my dad. He was asking me if the reason why the police was in front of your place was because the party was too loud/wild.

I was amused.

It was fun to see everyone again today :)
