Well, fuck.
Mar. 17th, 2005 03:58 pmMy bank is getting out of the student loans business, and I can't find a bank who'll take on a student loan from someone who hasn't banked there before. This means that I have to start paying my student loan back while I'm still in school, to the tone of $200 a month.
That's assuming I can get it added to the principle (and I won't find that out until Monday -- my loan officer takes vacations every second week). If they decide to take interest since November (and apparently they can) as a lump sum, then I'm out $800 in one shot -- $1000 by the end of the month. I don't even have that much in my bank account.
Banks made me wish I believed in hell. In fact, I suspect that concept came into being with the beginning of banks.
In other lovely news, my school workload is tripling as I approach essay time, and I'm really beginning to feel buried.
Oh well. For some odd reason, three books on my reading list just happened to come up on St. Patrick's Day -- one set in Ireland, one about Irish-Canadians, and one by an Irishman. I didn't realize it was St. Patrick's Day until after I'd chosen my books, and was almost finished the first.
