Happy Pride!

Today is Divers/Cité, Montréal's Pride Parade! I marching with the NDP this year, for the first time. Last year I was with Gay Line. I'm looking forward to it :)

I'm also glad it's at night this year. I won't come home looking like a roast turkey after hours spent in the miserable sun. I have the complexion of a Celtic vampire, and I might as well just set fire to my skin as spend hours out in it this summer.

Physical body could not be there especially since the Papa Gnu is suffering from a nasty summer cold.
Spirit of penguin gave massive cheers though...

Hello!

There are a handful of pictures on NDP website (http://www.npd.qc.ca/lgbtt/fierte2005/index-e.html) though not many.

I've made a couple of icons for you. I was going to upload them, but I'm having problems with Matt's FTP file, so I have to wait until he gets home.

One is a kind of grainy animated one of the penguin thrown the other in the water, the other is high-quality one of Pen-Pen peeking around the corner ^_^

Also, Saturday is the next birthday...should we try to get a couple of people to eat McCain's cake with him?

As for the leis, I forgot my first at home, but Emma had a backup. I didn't put it on until after the photo was taken.

Let me know the specs for the party. I may need public transit directions, as well :)

The thing is,I haven't actually got him to agree to anything yet. He's been a bit down lately. I think it would do him good to see friends. Maybe if you spoke to him about it he'd be willing.

I'll call him tomorrow. The next three days I'm busy, but should have evenings free. I might be able to hustle up an afternoon -- it depends on how long I'll be manning the table at community day (won't find out until tomorrow).

(Sorry for getting this message so late. Almost no computer time, and Matt kept asking for his computer back, to get his translation done.)

Just click on the links, right click, and "save as" somewhere on your hard drive where you can easily find them.

Then go to your livejournal's "user info" page, which is here (http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=melting_penguin). Make sure you're logged in. Then go to "manage" at the top, then "user pictures" on the sub-menu.

Cut and paste the location of the icon on your hard drive into "from file", then type a name for it in "keywords", then check or uncheck the "default image", depending on which one you want to give priority to. Repeat for the other icon.

Now, you can choose a picture every time you post, and if you don't want to bother, it'll automatically post your default. ^_^
