The Borg cube has finally issued us security passes, so I don`t have to wait in the feeding bay for the hour gap between English placement exams. I`m now in a small Internet café on the Promenade floor (I almost said `deck` -- damn these Star Trek metaphors).

This keyboard is the strangest I`ve ever used. I think it`s an English keyboard set for a French keyboard, so all the keys are wrong. I still can`t find the question mark, so there will be no questions allowed.

Between doing 16-odd placement exams a day, and having to clean out all the cupboards, closets, and shelves (they`re spraying the whole building for insects this Friday), I`ve scarcely had time for writing. I`ve only been managing a page a day. Though I have been mulling over yet another short story.

Hi there - I friended you. :-) You made me laugh today when I've been feeling angry and frustrated. And you seem like a very cool person!

You're right. I really have to diversify my geekery. It can't just be manga and video games all the time ^_^

Star trek metaphors are fun. Besides promenade is tecnically a Star Trek reference. In St-Bruno has a shopping mall call the Promenade that reminds my a lot of the one on DS9 (with out the gloomy Cardassian architechture).

Speaking of rooms that make you think of Star Trek, there's a conference room at McGill that looks like the bridge of the Enterprise D.

I wonder: If McGill and the bank office tower where I've been working got into a fight, who would come out on top? Would McGill suffer assimilation? Or could they introduce individuality to the bank.

If McGill administration is anything like Concordia's, then I'd say the battle is already lost :/
