Another day performing English placement exams at the borg cube. The really scary thing is, most of them make the same mistakes -- and they aren`t mistakes I typically get on English exams. Further evidence of a collective consciousness at work. And today they`d all gotten a little bit better -- evidence that they are adapting.

I wrote two pages on the new novel this morning, before coming to work. I think it`s evolving rapidly. I already know the characters fairly well, and it`s only the first writing. The plot still needs some work, but it`s coming along quite quickly.

I wanted to ask: have you considered getting a card for the Grande Bibliothèque? You just go down there with photo ID and proof of address. It's free, and you can use the computers on the 3rd floor also free.

Also, have I gotten any mail, and did they fix the leak in the toilet?

(ah, the glamour...)

I'd love to use the library's connection, but there are two problems with the Grande Bibliothèque:
1) I can't nip down there between English exams
2) Every time I've gone down there, every terminal is occupied :/

You have gotten mail, though mostly from Greenpeace and the NDP. As for the toilet, I forgot to mention it to the landlady when she was here.

I don't think so, but I can double-check. But ho would that be any good to you, since it has to be signed to be deposited...?

I believe in such a case, you (or whoever brings the cheque to the bank) sign it. Or else nobody does, and the bank stamps it. You could ask them when you brought it in. And thank you.

I don't think my bank would do that. Have you done this with (S)TD before?

I don't see why they wouldn't. At any rate, could you try it should the situation arise?

There's something from Revenu Canada there, now, so I'll try it. Probably can't be before Wednesday, though...

w00t, no worries. thanks.

btw, I jus mailed a huge box of stuff (souvenirs and whatnot) to you. Heaven knows when it'll get there (quite frankly I'll probably already be back) but just so you're aware.
