So I'm about 42 pages into my new novel, and it's taking shape much more easily than my last one ever did. And that shape is not what I expected, but I'm liking it.

Spent the afternoon with my friend Matt, quietly drinking coffee and talking. Very pleasant.

Solomon Gursky was Here is turning into a satire of a poet I like, A.M. Klein. It's very funny, and probably very true to life :)

Thanks. I keep joking with a friend of mine that we're going to start open the first chapter of something called ELLF (English Literature Liberation Front) to make the field safe for non-postmodernists.
