Happy Sabbat
Feb. 1st, 2006 07:03 pmBlessed Imbolc to those who celebrate it ^_^
Feels funny wishing everyone else a Happy Groundhog Day, though. It's not exactly celebrated.
Happy Wednesday?

Date: 2006-02-02 03:50 pm (UTC)Sadly, it's very Americo-centric, and dangerously inaccurate. For example, for tomorrow it lists Thomas Crapper as the inventor of the flush toilet in 1837.
Thomas Crapper did not invent the flush toilet, merely popularized its use. And since he was born in 1836, it's highly unlikely he was inventing new technologies in 1837.
The first toilet of the modern west was made by John Harington in 1596. He called it the Ajax. But this first "john" was knocked down after he died. The toilet was reinvented by Alexander Cummings in 1775.
Seriously, with all these names, the jokes just write themselves.
